Fiore di Pietro
This is a new tangle pattern introduced on http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/. It's called Fiore di Pietro and it is a tribute in memory of the creator's brother-in-law who recently passed away. The creator of this pattern is collecting tiles featuring this pattern in order to make a memory book for the family members, so I thought I might finally participate, and add my tangle to the bunch. I found this pattern difficult to master, but I haven't worked with it very long. I messed up the bigger side (the one on the right). It doesn't really conform to the pattern, and I had to just go with it. I tried to decorate the inside of the circles and triangles with Nzeppel, or Shattuck. I added in some auras, and stippling. I think it has an organic feel to it.
Edited to add: Rho, feel free to use my tangle.

How creative! Really unique variation. Also, I think I overfed your fish over there on the right. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI has a very organic feel, like bubbles in water.
ReplyDeleteOooh yes, Julie - you're right, it does have a bubbly feel to it! I like your tangle a lot kp. I like how you tangled within the tangle!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much to each of you for your kind words and encouragement! I am so new to Zentangle and just getting my bearings. I am very grateful for your feedback. I am enjoying Nzeppel because it always seems like the end result is akin to looking at something under a microscope. As if you are seeing the basic elements of life. I don't know; that's just me, and I just like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteSandy, you are welcome to feed my fish anytime!
Can I ask where you got them? I don't see any links... I'm coveting your fish.
ReplyDeletehahaha!! ;D It's a feature on Blogger. If you go to Design>Layout>Add a Gadget>Most Popular> you should see "Fish" as an option. Thanks for the compliment! BTW, you can customize the fish and the background, too.
ReplyDeletecool, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love it, by "rounding" it appears like sea shells, and sand.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo cool, how your variations give this tile a fantastic beauty!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYour tile is quite striking; I too, found the pattern difficult at first, but like you, I just kept at it. Think of the part on the right as a variation, because in zentangle that's what it is. Great work.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love your tile...I think originality of any pattern is good...that is one of the things I love about seeing everyone's tiles....so MANY different ways of interpreting the same design!!! Yours brings to mind for me the calm of the seashore...the tide coming in/going out...a cycle of life!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat, it has the feel of shells in the sand.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThank you to each of you for visiting, and for your encouragement! I am very touched and humbled.
ReplyDeleteI love your tile, I recently got back into fine-art in addition to finding zentangle, and I am very drawn to abstract art... this piece just feels very "abstract" to me. Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteps. I fed your fish too, you will have to return the favor at my blog if you have time... mine always seem to be hungry. ;)
Thank you, Deb! I did visit your blog, and had a lovely time feeding your multi-colored fish!! Also, your tangle is amazing!
